A #water Sustainability Special Feature - With Will Hewes, Global Lead, Water Sustainability #aws

By 2025, half the Earth’s population is projected to live in water-stressed areas as a result of #climatechange - with low-income families bearing the greatest brunt of water scarcity. In this special feature with @amazonwebservices Sally discusses AWS's commitment to be water positive by 2030 with Will Hewes, Global Lead for Water Sustainability at AWS.

In addition, we highlight the importance of continual action to address this global crisis - from technology solutions such as engineering systems that reduce water use through efficient cooling, to tapping into sustainable water sources and returning water to communities. And this is all enabled too by the power of ecosystem partnership, notably with organizations such as @water and @wateraidorg - fantastic to see!

Finally, a new AWS-based learning management system will now make it easier for Water.org to enable access to safe water for people living in poverty around the world. This is part of a $10 million commitment to help Water.org stand up an initiative of water and climate solutions that will ensure safe water for 100 million people.
