🌟The awards recognized business customers who use the T-Mobile #5G network to innovate in their industries. And winners across four categories – Customer Experience, Employee Enablement, Industry, and Community – each received a $25,000 donation to a charity of their choice ✅ Notable projects using T-Mobile 5G include:
🔸 Customer Experience: Easterseals Southern California - In collaboration with Floreo VR and supported by T-Mobile’s network, Easterseals Southern California created a virtual reality platform that implements a transportation safety curriculum for children and adults with autism.
These novel therapeutic approaches encourage these individuals to enhance their independence.
🔸 Employee Enablement: Infosys Limited — Infosys introduced a mobile-first platform that utilized artificial intelligence to streamline the employee experience, boost productivity and offer personalized engagement for more than 300,000 users.
🔸 Industry: Sony Electronics Inc. and CBS Sports — Together, Sony Electronics Inc. and CBS Sports transformed live sports broadcasting at the 2024 PGA Championship. They used T-Mobile 5G to enable real-time, low-latency coverage and set a new standard for the industry.
🔸 Community: 3AM Innovations — 3AM Innovations is enhancing firefighter activity/equipment and detecting environmental changes with FLORIAN, an AI-powered platform that tracks crews in real-time. Using T-Mobile 5G, FLORIAN can provide instant updates during emergencies.
🌟Additionally, a special "Tipping Point" award was introduced this year by luminary judge Malcolm Gladwell, esteemed New York Times bestselling author and Pushkin Industries co-founder. Gladwell personally selected the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Informatics and Health Data Science as the recipient.
This special distinction recognizes the Media and Innovation Lab’s work to advance personalized, remote healthcare using T-Mobile-connected devices that capture real-time health data. The data helps reduce hospital visits and contribute to improved patient outcomes, setting a new standard in remote patient monitoring. This award also comes with a $30,000 donation to a charity of the school’s choice.
✅ And across the board, all winners were selected across a holistic combination of their creativity, impact and use of 5G technology to solve major challenges.
